Tangehung is known as the ancient walled city of China, built in Ming Dynasty about 300 BC (according to historians). Wall and city were destroyed in recent siege. Chinese recapture it from Japanese garrison after eight weeks of hard fighting. Wall and city was well fortified and during two years time, the town was in Japanese possession. |
