
| A German gun emplacement is the Gothic Line in the Apennines, showing excellent camouflage from air or ground observation. The position covered a principal road leading to Futa Pass, the most heavily fortified sector in the line. Soldiers are shown inspecting the entrance to the gun emplacement. Both are attached to the 34th Division, 8th Army, which helped smash this barrier. |
