
| A German gun emplacement in the Gothic Line in the Apennines, showing excellent camouflage from air or ground observation. The position covered a principle road leading to Futa Pass, most heavily fortified sector in the line. Men are shown inspecting the entrance to the gun emplacement. Both are attached to the 34th Division 5th Army, which helped smash this barrier. |
