
Pearl Harbor, taken by surprise during the Japanese aerial attack. A Japanese Bomber with a thin line of smoke trailing in its wake, was struck by anit-aircraft fire. More than 100 Japanese planes are estimated to have taken part in the attacks, at least 28 of which were shot down by US Navy gunners. Dec. 7, 1941
