Planes and activities of the Naval Air Transportation Service. Since the war began Pan American Airways has been rigorously training pilots, navigators, radio and engineering officers in preparation for its part in the transport of vital combat cargoes. Shown boarding a PBM-3R are four of the crew of eight Pan American officers on this type of transport. January 1943
