Well of Sacrifice

The Mayans would give sacrifices to the rain god Chac here in the well. The Mayans would sacrifice people, precious stones or items which were valuable into the well. In the well, at least 40 set of bones have been discovered by archaeologist which were sacrificed to the rain god. The well is 285 feet in diamater with a water depth of 40 feet. (Fergson & Royce, 1977)
