English InfantryRregiments  ·  The 30th and 73th English infantry regiments (the right side of Halkett) formed in squares, was attacked eleven times by the French cavalry. The resistance of these regiments was courageous and wonderful it contributed for a great part to the victory. It is of this infantry that the French General Foy, speaking to the Emperor before the battle, said that he had never seen it yielding. Battle of Waterloo. 10 Panorama of the battle.
